🔁 Dialogflow Compatibility #

When Dialogflow is enabled:

  • OpenAI will only be used if Dialogflow cannot answer the user’s question.
  • The user message must be longer than 4 characters for OpenAI to activate as a fallback.

✅ Compatible Features with OpenAI #

The following SmartAI features are fully compatible with OpenAI:

  • Smart Reply
  • Human Takeover
  • Disable in Tickets Area
  • Disable During Office Hours
  • Bot Response Delay
  • Reply to User Emails
  • Reply to User Text Messages

🌐 Google Translation Features Compatible with OpenAI #

The following language tools also work seamlessly with OpenAI:

  • Multilingual via Translation
  • Automatic Translation
  • Language Detection

🌍 Language Configuration #

To set your OpenAI chatbot’s language:

  • Navigate to Settings > Chat > Language
  • If your website or user base supports multiple languages, choose Multilingual.

📌 Important for Messaging Channels:
If you’re using platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook, enable language detection to dynamically identify and respond in the user’s language.

👥 Human Takeover Behavior #

When a human agent takes over a conversation:

  • The OpenAI chatbot is deactivated and remains inactive—even if the agent goes offline.
  • The Dialogflow chatbot, however, will remain available and can resume responses if needed.

🤖 Default AI Model #

SmartAI currently uses the GPT-4.1 Mini model as the default for OpenAI-powered responses.

🎙️ Voice Message Support #

OpenAI also supports speech recognition, enabling users to send voice messages that are automatically transcribed into text for processing.
